THERE was great joy on the inter-club scene for Callan GC over the week.

THE in-form Gary Owens won Sunday’s single stableford at Mountain View GC. After winning the 3T’s competition recently, Gary’s handicap has now dropped by four shots in two weeks.

THERE was a great turnout for the Peter Gray memorial trophy (CSS 70/37pts) competition, which was played at Rathdowney GC recently.

ON paper at least the Listed Silver Flash Stakes over a mile and two furlongs at the Curragh on Sunday was worthy of a higher status.
