Event to help make St Patrick’s Day float ideas a reality

To celebrate the theme of this year’s Kilkenny city St Patrick’s Day parade “A Celebration of Kilkenny’s Gaelic Games, Heritage and Spirit” and add extra colour and creativity to the event, a “Float Clinic” is being held next week to help inspire community groups, individuals, sporting clubs, businesses and arts, music and drama groups to get creative and submit an entry.

The free two-hour event will take place on February 22 from 7-9pm at Langton’s Set Theatre, facilitated by local artists Jean Conroy and Etaoin Holahan.

All are invited to come along with ideas and be inspired by learning how to bring them to life on a shoestring budget and be in with a shot of winning the prize for your float or entry. Entry forms available on www.kilkennytourism.ie.
