NIall and Bridie Butler come all the way from Kenmare in Kerry to set up for their stall for the Thyestes day in Gowran, They sell a whole range of sweets inside the gates and towards the end of the day they were cleaning up.
We get here at 10am and set out their stall for the rest of the day. Mr Butler said that Gowran is one of his favourite spots to come to. “Gowran is one of the best places in the country to come to. It’s between Gowran and the Seven houses coursing land. All the people here are trying to get rid of all of their money and there is a great atmosphere at the Theystes festival,” he said.
