A DESIRE to make amends for last year was one of the driving factors behind the Shamrocks (Ballyhale) and their route to the club All-Ireland final.

"Everyone is gunning for this game," said midfielder James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick. "It's still in the back of our minds that we lost to Portumna last year (in the All-Ireland semi-final). We know what it's like to lose at the All-Ireland series stage, and everyone is determined to get back on top. It would be a fantastic achievement to get back on top of the hurling roll of honour but all we're trying to focus on is our performance on the day."
Trevor Spillane gets all the views and news from the Ballyhale camp before this Wednesday's All-Ireland club final in this weeks Kilkenny People.
