Classical evening on Saturday

Classical group the Cappa Ensemble will perform this Saturday at 8pm in Castalia Hall, Ballytobin, Callan as part of the Music in Kilkenny concert series.

The ensemble features Bartosz Woroch on violin, Adam Newman on viola, Brian O’Kane on cello and Michael McHale on piano.

Their programme will include J.S. Bach’s Inventions (arranged for string trio), Franz Liszt’s Funérailles (from Harmonies poétiques et religieuses), Arnold Bax’s Piano Quartet in one movement, Ian Wilson’s Noct for piano quartet (2011) and Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in E flat major K.493.

Tickets cost €15 (€10 concession) and will be available at the door.
