Writers sought for Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet
Kilkenny County Council Arts Office is seeking submissions by writers from or living in Kilkenny city and county for the up-coming 12th edition of Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet.
The publication gives local writers a platform for their work, and each poem selected is included in the broadsheet, which in available for free throughout the county.
Application forms and submission rules are available from the Arts Office, 76 John Street, Kilkenny; 056 7794138 or niamh.finn@kilkennycoco.ie. They can also be downloaded from www.kilkennycoco.ie/eng/Services/Arts. No electronic submissions will be accepted.
The deadline for submissions is 4pm on February 27.
The 12th edition will be edited by Nuala Ní Chonchúir, winner of several awards for short fiction including RTÉ radio’s Francis MacManus Award, the Cúirt New Writing Prize, the inaugural Jonathan Swift Award and the Cecil Day Lewis Award. She was short-listed for the European Prize for Literature.
