JGardening with Shirley Lanigan - Jobs for February
February can be cold and miserable. But it can also be bright and sunny and lend itself to wonderful expectancy of great things to come. In either case, it is the last month of winter and with spring just on the doorstep, the time to get thinking about the coming year has well and truly arrived. There are plenty of jobs that can be set about now. You should certainly be thinking about what you want to do to make the next year a good one in the garden.
Golden Globe frocks that rocked
It was an interesting Golden Globes this year. There was an impressive stock of high quality movies and particularly good TV this last year, and all with stellar, A-list casts. That always makes for a glamourous Awards season as they try to out wit, out dress and ultimately win! Or… you could just trip up people before they even got in like Madonna did to poor Jessica Biel….maybe it was just a clever pr trick to get Jessica’s flash bulbs turning in her direction! Either way, considering that Madge is more than 20 years her senior (yes…seriously!) I think that she probably won this spat at least – even if she may have had some tweaks and tucks to enhance her look.
