RSAG to surface in December gig

Kilkenny’s own Rarely Seen Above Ground is playing Cleere’s with The Kilo 1977 on December 23 as part of a six-date Irish tour that finishes at The Forum, Waterford on December 30 supporting And So I Watch You From Afar.

The multi-instrumentalist, aka Jeremy Hickey, records, performs and produces all the material in his home studio. Live he has been experimenting with the idea of a virtual band collaborating with artist Paul Mahon creating silhouettes of himself projected on screen backing his live drums, percussion and vocals.

Since his debut in 2008, Rarely Seen Above Ground has released two acclaimed albums, has performed three times at the Electric Picnic festival as well as Castlepalooza, Body and Soul, Oxygen and several European festivals as drummer for the Parisian electronic outfit Bot’Ox. He has also made his way Stateside for performances at the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival in Austin, Texas in addition to shows in New York.
