Fearless political comedian entertains at The Watergate

Lee Camp is not afraid of talking about the truth. He told Fox News , he told corporate America, and now, following his successful Edinburgh Fringe 2011 solo debut, he is back in the UK one more time to tell you.

Lee Camp is not afraid of talking about the truth. He told Fox News , he told corporate America, and now, following his successful Edinburgh Fringe 2011 solo debut, he is back in the UK one more time to tell you.

A ‘comedy evangelist with blistering punchlines’ (The Guardian), no injustice escapes Camp’s sharp wit and biting commentary during his quest to right society’s wrongs, one punchline at a time. Camp will perform at the Watergate Theatre for one night only on Wednesday, April 25 at 8pm.

Camp is perhaps best known for his appearance on the US network Fox News. Rather than sticking to pre-approved jokes, Camp attacked the network live on air as ‘a parade of propaganda’ and ‘a festival of ignorance’. Subsequent invitations were rapidly withdrawn, death threats were received, and Camp’s name as a comedian and an activist could not be suppressed.

Camp’s comedy showcases his stylish use of satire, lively rhetoric and original, rapid-fire lambasting of all that is wrong with our society. Catch him now on this his first and only Irish appearance of his European tour. Tickets €10 (056) 77 61674 www.watergatetheatre.com
