Tullaroan camogie club to hold a cabaret in
Connolly’s Lounge

Hurling-The Tullaroan junior team had a good win over Johnstown in the Junior Hurling League held at the Tullaroan sports grounds on Saturday evening last. This was a very good display by the Tullaroan team where they won on a scoreline of 1-15 to Johnstown 0-15.

Tullaroan Golf Society-The society have their next outing on Saturday 2nd June at the Tramore Golf Club, Co. Waterford. Anyone interested in playing are to give their names to Eamon Campion (Captain) or Mary Kenny Secretary before Wednesday’s meeting which will be held in Connolly’s Lounge at 9pm.

Recently Deceased-The death place last week of Mrs. Mary E. Ahern, Glanworth, Co. Cork, Mary was sister of Michael Quirke, Huntstown, Tullaroan, Deep sympathy to Michael and Lily Kirk.

Sympathy to Joe and all the Crosby family Ballyroe, Freshford on the recent death of Joe’s brother Michael (Tarzan) Crosby.

Walsh/ Quinn Commemoration-There was a very good attendance at the annual Walsh/Quinn commemoration at Knocknagress, Tullaroan on Friday evening last. After Mass celebrated by Rev. P. Guilfoyle P.P. Tullaroan the rosary was recited at the monument. The coordinator Paddy O’Neill welcomed all and introduced Ms. Eilish Holden who gave a wonderful oration, following this John Holden spoke along with Mr. Matt Doran C.C. Paddy then thanked Eddie Campion for his diligent work with the commemoration committee, and he also mentioned the late Mrs. Kathleen Malone, Mr. Liam Dunne and Mr. John O’Neill who passed away during the year.

Mrs. Brid Kennedy then laid the wreath at the monument.

First Friday-Friday next is the First Friday of June. Please note that Fr. Patsy Guilfoyle will visit the homebound on Tuesday June 5th after 9.30am Mass instead of the Friday.

Kilkenny County Childcare Committee-Kilkenny County Childcare Committee are holding a Free Parents Seminar for parents of children aged from Birth to 6 years on 11th June 2012 in Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel from 7pm-9.30pm. The seminar will be facilitated by Dr. Mary Roche, Education Consultant and will explore how reading books aloud can support young children’s early language development.

St. Vincent de Paul Society-A second collection will be taken up at all Masses this week end on behalf of the Society.

Prague House Freshford-The Board Sisters and Staff of Prague House, Freshford would like to thank sincerely everyone who helped to make their Benefit Night of Greyhound Racing on Friday night last a great success. Sponsors of races and prizes those who advertised in the race card, ticket sellers and those who bought tickets, the track management and staff for their great assistance on the night. A special thanks to Denis Lennon and Family, Threecastles who kindly donated a ten month old bitch which was auctioned by Shemie Healy. Whist Drive-A whist drive will be held on Friday 1st June in the Community Centre commencing at 8.45pm. Proceeds will go the the Tullaroan Community Centre.

Donation-A donation of €600.00 was presented to Prague House Renovation fund from the sale of D.V.D’s of the late Fr. Moran’s films.

Camogie-The Tullaroan camogie club will hold a cabaret in Connolly’s Lounge, Tullaroan on Friday 15th June commencing at 8pm. Your support would be very much appreciated.
