Oscar-NOMINATED Cartoon Saloon are to exhibit for the first time in Ireland at the Kilkenny Arts Festival this August.

From August 10 -19 people will have a chance to see world-renowned animation stills and internationally-celebrated jewellery side by side at the Rudolf Heltzel Gallery, Kilkenny.

The exhibition features works from critically acclaimed animated films such as The Secret of Kells and Old Fangs. Also on display will be new artwork from Song of the Sea, an animated feature film beginning production, directed by European Film Award and Academy Award nominee Tomm Moore. The Song of the Sea concept artworks are not yet available for public viewing anywhere else in the world.

Cartoon Saloon is a boutique animation studio, based on Tilbury Place, creating works that Variety Magazine have called “absolutely luscious to behold!”. Their work was also praised in the The New York Times as “extraordinary, disclosing strange new vistas that seem to have existed since ancient times”.
