Four of the Ireland’s finest traditional musicians – Christy Leahy, Seamie O’Dowd, Ger Wolfe and Caoimhín Vallely – will combine their talents in Carlow’s GB Shaw Theatre on March 2 at 8pm for a night of music and song.
Just over 12 months ago, Christy Leahy and Caoimhín Vallely released a CD ranging from Sliabh Luachra jigs to French waltzes and Sligo polkas, all played on accordion and piano. To promote the album, Christy (accordion) and Caoimhín (piano) have invited two of their friends, Seamie O’Dowd (fiddle and guitar) and Ger Wolfe (vocals and guitar) to join them in a series of gigs around the country.
Tickets are €15, with a group rate of €10 each for groups of eight or more. Bookings are on 059 9172400 and www.gbshawtheatre.ie.
