Calling on Kilkenny budding artists

Leinster Rugby’s greatest fan and mascot, Leo the Lion, is searching the county high and low to find a new friend. From Kilkenny Castle to St Canice’s Cathedral and the Dunmore Cave, Leo needs a ‘bestie’ to help cheer on Leinster’s good days and bad.

Leinster Rugby’s greatest fan and mascot, Leo the Lion, is searching the county high and low to find a new friend. From Kilkenny Castle to St Canice’s Cathedral and the Dunmore Cave, Leo needs a ‘bestie’ to help cheer on Leinster’s good days and bad.

The countdown is on for participants to enter into Leinster Rugby’s schools art competition that closes in three weeks - May 1. Leinster Rugby is willing all budding artists in Kilkenny to use their imagination and enter as many designs of what they think Leo’s new ‘bestie’ should look like to help out their most prized team player.

With over 16 entries to date Kilkenny schools is well represented however the schools who submits the most entries will win a signed Leinster jersey.

An overall winner will be chosen via a public online vote whereby a Leinster Party at their school, 400 tickets to attend a Leinster Rugby game and some Leinster Rugby merchandise is up for grabs. Entries should be submitted to Leinster Rugby Art Competition, Newstead Building A, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4 before 5pm on May 1.
