Goresbridge a huge success

Rasper Players from Gorey after winning the Goresbridge one-act drama festival.
The Goresbridge Drama Festival at Ionad Dara was a huge success thanks to tremendous support from sponsors and friends of the Festival - Connolly’s Red Mills; Donohoe’s Horse Sales, John Kelly & Son Hardware and Goresbridge Credit Union. Kilcumney Players hosted the festival.

Rasper Players from Gorey won with their riveting production of Vera, Vera, Vera by Hayley Squires. It also scooped best director for Réidín Dunne and best actress for Réidín O’Connor. Eighteen year old Oisín Walsh won an adjudicator’s award for his interpretation of the role of Sammy. In second place was Insight Theatre, Celbridge with Burridan’s Ass by SR Plant. Best Actor award went to Bill Eliffe from Insight for the lead role of Mahone. Insight also took an Adjudicator’s award for their set. The Moat Club from Naas took third place.
