Seascape and
sunset in Loughboy

An exhibition of works by artist Clare King is on display in Loughboy Library until September 23.

The artist, who lives in Cork and began painting as a teenager, spent a number of years in Texas, where she discovered her passion for painting in vibrant oil colours.

Clare lives through her eyes, seeing potential paintings everywhere she goes. While excited at the prospect of a white canvas, she still feels some trepidation as the painting changes from the first stroke of the brush.

The library is also taking bookings for exhibitions in 2012; for information about reserving a free place, contact 056 7794176.
