Music in Kilkenny has long been entertaining those with a penchant for classical performances. Fans of the same will be delighted to note that the group’s autumn season is now under way.

Music in Kilkenny has long been entertaining those with a penchant for classical performances. Fans of the same will be delighted to note that the group’s autumn season is now under way.

It opened on Sunday with an afternoon performance by pianist Hugh Tinney. The season continues at Castalia Hall, Ballytobin, Callan. The next show is this Friday from 8pm when you can enjoy Keith Pascoe on violin and Brian McNamara on piano.

After that you’ll get Martin Skampa on cello and Michal Rezek on piano (September 23), Vienna Mozart Trio (October 4), soprano Aileen Itani with Finghin Collins on piano (October 19), cellist Annette Cleary and pianist Lance Coburn (October 26) and Keith Pascoe on violin with Brian McNamara on piano (November 18).
