Top graduate appointed as forester

Award-winning graduate David Nolan has been appointed by forestry management advisers The Forestry Company as a forester for Kilkenny and the South East.

Award-winning graduate David Nolan has been appointed by forestry management advisers The Forestry Company as a forester for Kilkenny and the South East.

David joins the six new recruits who have joined The Forestry Company in the past few months working throughout Ireland.

“We want the best for our customers and that is why we only hire the best. We are delighted to welcome David to The Forestry Company,” said the company’s director, John Roche.

David graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a BSc (Hons) in Forestry in 2011 and will graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Land Management this year. He won the Augustine Henry medal for his outstanding results in his BSc in forestry. The award is for the student who receives the highest overall marks in the final-year exams.
