Kilkenny company Mileeven Fine Foods was one of 16 Irish companies to participate at the UK’s leading showcase of fine food and drink recenty.

The local business was there to exhibit its range of honey, preserves and fruit cake products at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London's Olympia.

There were 16 speciality Irish food producers – including six show debutants and six Great Taste 2016 Awards winners – who exhibited their high quality, innovative and unique products at the event.

Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, showcased a world of inspiration from award-winning speciality Irish food producers, as well as offering visitors the chance to speak to ambassadors from Ireland's unique national sustainability programme, Origin Green.

Origin Green unites Irish farmers, food producers, retailers and food service customers, to help set and achieve measurable sustainability targets – reducing environmental impact and protecting Ireland’s rich natural resources.

Mileeven Fine Foods was established in 1988 by Eilis Gough, borne out of a hobby for beekeeping. Since then, the local business has gone from strength to strength, winning numerous awards locally, nationally, and internationally.

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair is the leading UK trade event that exclusively targets food and drink buyers from the speciality and artisan food industry. It is now in its 17th year.
