Permission for a four-storey extension to Taxback’s offices in Loughboy has been approved by Kilkenny County Council.

The planning permission includes a revised design and elevation of the extension to the company’s office block in the IDA Technology and Business Park. It also includes an additional 53 car parking spaces and parking stands for 55 bicycles.

The additional floor area of 357 square metres brings the new total extension area to 1,939.2 square metres, mainly accounted for through the provision of additional third-floor area, according to the planning file. “The proposed development will increase the floor area of the existing office building from 1,377 square metres to 3,316 square metres, creating an L-shaped building.”

A development contribution of €91,133 will be due to the council when works commence, according to the planning report.
