TrademarkNow, a Helsinki based legal technology start-up - has chosen Kilkenny as it’s Irish base.

The firm, which will employ 12 people in their first year in the city, picked Kilkenny after a search of other major cities in the country - their decision a firm thumbs up for local people and places.

Kilkenny now joins its base in Helsinki and offices in New York and Luxembourg as TrademarkNow expands its global footprint.

The offices in Kilkenny will house their business development, sales and account management teams and the firm hopes to double its workforce here by 2016.

It’s a considerable vote of confidence in Kilkenny by the group - who noted Kilkenny as ‘The friendliest city in Europe’ when announcing their opening.
