Representing Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Carlow, Waterford and Wexford, the ten have all been nominated for the ‘Spirit of Enterprise’ award to be presented on May 12th, which is named after the late Michael Dee, a former Enterprise Ireland executive who supported the development of enterprise across the region and whose family were presented the inaugural Spirit of Enterprise award..

The 2011 awards ceremony is due to take place at the Tower Hotel at the conclusion of the ‘Ireland and Wales Working Together’ Business Network Showcase event.

Congratulating the nominees, Michael Maddock from the South East Business and Innovation Centre and a member of the Spirit of Enterprise Steering Group said, “This award sets out to recognise and reward those who, through their endeavours, have made or put in place long term initiatives that support and enhance the social or economic well-being of the South East. This year’s diverse nominees certainly fulfil that criteria, encapsulating the ethos of the Spirit of Enterprise.”
