Kilkenny Chamber held its AGM recently and the main item on the agenda was the passing of the Presidential baton from Donie Butler to Martin Costello, owner of Murphy’s Jewellers on High Street in Kilkenny.

Martin follows in the footsteps of his late father Seamus, who served as President of the Chamber with distinction for many years.

The 66th AGM held at the Newpark Hotel saw outgoing President Bonie Butler step down after two years of considerable change in the runing of the Chamber, with many positive comments on how the Chamber has turned the corner and is well positioned to grow with businesses in Kilkenny.

The Chamber has asked all members and non members to support its annual Inter Company Golf Challenge which is taking place in Mount Juliet Estate on Thursday May 8 and this is an excellent opportunity for business people to engage and network with each other while enjoying one of the best Golf Courses in the country. If anyone would like to take part, just contact the Kilkenny Chamber office on 056 7752767.

The Chamber invested significantly in renovating and refurbishing its Training Room and it is now equipped with state of the art computer and presentation facilities. These facilities are available to hire at very reasonable rates and interested persons should contact the Kilkenny Chamber office on 056 7752767. Also, e very support of the Kilkenny Chamber Gift Voucher scheme was urged.
