It is a most unique and historical location - the lakes are set amidst the woodland estate of the former coalmine owners The Prior-Wandesforde family who created the lakes for their own pleasure use. Having been drained in the past, the lakes are now fully reinstated with angling stands to allow full access to the water and a series of cascades link the lakes and channel the water back into the River Deen. The lower lake is reserved for fly fishing and the upper lake for bait fishing and both are regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout

Helen will provide tuition in the art of fly-fishing - learn how to set up a fly rod, tie fishing knots, learn about the different types of flies and lures, and become an expert in casting, netting and releasing.

Helen is well known for her knowledge of fishing and local rivers and lakes. She has represented her country in many international competitions both home and abroad.
