DO you think you can better rally ace Craig Breen? You will get the opportunity to try on Sunday at the Irish Motorsport Expo at The Hub on the Carlow Road on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.

As part of the Motorsport Expo, Carrick Motor Club will have as one of the highlights a Formula 1 car simulator

The Formula 1 Car measures 3.16m long by 1.7m wide and when you step into the cockpit you are transported into the world of speed. The car is based on the 2011 model being currently raced on the world circuits.

The system utilises on-board active feedback steering with genuine pedals for acceleration and braking. This provides an experience which is as close as you can get to being at the track without actually being there.

The stunning Formula F1 Simulator includes:

n BRD’s new Pro-ST powerful force-feedback steering system creating an unparalleled level of road feel and fidelity.

n quick-release F1-style carbon fiber steering wheel with optional fully-working LCD display on the wheel. n F1-style gear lever paddles. n Purpose-built accelerator and pressure sensor based brake pedal to give realistic travel and feel. n Structural carbon-fiber suspension system. n Fully built-in, electrically-adjustable pedal base to give, at the press of a button, adjustment of the pedal position, which will allow the cockpit to accommodate drivers of most heights. n Pre-Preg carbon fibre re-enforced Nomex F1 seat body contoured profile for additional comfort. n F1 show tyres and wheels. n Authentic padded cockpit headrest
