A KILKENNY GAA club has decided that pedal power is the best way to raise funds.

Twenty members of the Graignamanagh club are gearing up for a sponsored cycle to Dublin. The event will see the group bike their way to the capital in July for the Leinster hurling final.

All money raised will be used to develop the club’s facilities. The club has drawn up plans to implement new dugouts at their pitch, as well as upgrading shower and toilet facilties, with work expected to begin in the coming weeks.

The cyclists have been kitted out for their long trek with jerseys supplied by Michael Doran of SuperValu, the club’s main sponsor.
