The start of what will be another busy season has arrived, and club are ready for the big off this weekend.

The mood all round is optimistic, with most feeling the senior hurling league/championship season is wide open.

A few clubs have serious doubts surrounding injuries -Shamrocks - Michael and Colin Fennelly; Danesfort with Paul Murphy; Bennettsbridge with Robert Lennon; O’Loughlin’s with Brian Hogan - but all are ready for the off.

The story from the clubs in Group A:

Clara

Selectors - Michael Purcell (manager), Tom Mullally, Christy Kealy, Paddy Mullally.

Injuries - there is concern that Lester Ryan is nursing a back injury.
