Venues announced for hurling quarter-finals

At senior level the games will begin with a double header in Nowlan Park on Saturday. St Martin’s, who won the Shield spoils on Sunday, will take on Dicksboro at 2pm. That match will be followed by the meeting of Erin’s Own (Castlecomer) and Ballyhale Shamrocks at 3.30pm.

Four more teams will go hunting for semi-final spots on Sunday. Reigning county champions James Stephens will put their title on the line when they take on Graigue-Ballycallan in Freshford at 1.45pm, with League champions Carrickshock and O’Loughlin Gaels meeting in the final game in Ballyhale at 4pm.

At intermediate level three quarter-finals will be played on Saturday.

St Patrick’s (Ballyragget) will play Mooncoin in Bennettsbridge at 2pm. Thomastown will host a double-header, with Shield champions the Rower-Inistioge facing off against Young Irelands (Gowran) at 2pm, while the 3.30pm game sees the meeting of league champions Clara and Glenmore.

The venues have also been announced for the semi-finals of the junior hurling championship.

Nowlan Park will host the two games this Sunday, with O’Loughlin Gaels and Bennettsbridge playing at 1pm, followed by Lisdowney v Thomastown at 2.30pm.

The junior relegation final between Graignamanagh and Fenians (Johnstown) will be played in Jenkinstown at 3.30pm on Saturday.
