The followingis the list of League finals and Kilkenny captains, many of whom also lifted Liam that September.

2002, Semple Stadium: Kilkenny 2-15, Cork 2-14. Andy Comerford accepted the League silverware, and also captained Kilkenny to the All-Ireland that year.

2003, Croke Park: Kilkenny 5-14, Tipp 5-13. Charlie Carter raised the league trophy aloft. D.J. Carey lifted the MacCarthy Cup as captain that September.

2005, Semple Stadium: Kilkenny 3-20, Clare 0-15. There was league joy for Peter Barry, but Kilkenny lost their All-Ireland titles.

2006, Semple Stadium: Kilkenny 3-11, Limerick 0-14. Captain was Jackie Tyrrell, who also won the All-Ireland.

2007, Semple Stadium: Waterford 0-20, Kilkenny 0-18. Henry Shefflin captained the Cats to the All-Ireland.

2009, Semple Stadium: Kilkenny 2-26, Tipperary 4-17 (aet). Shefflin lifted the League trophy. Michael Fennelly was captain for the All-Ireland.

2011, Croke Park: Dublin 0-22, Kilkenny 1-7. Brian Hogan was captain for the League and All-Ireland double.

2012, Semple Stadium: Kilkenny 3-21, Cork 0-16. Eoin Larkin was captain for League and All-Ireland successes.

2013, Nowlan Park: Kilkenny 2-17, Tipperary 0-20. Captain: Colin Fennelly.
