Northern junior, under-21 draws are made

The games are: Barrow Rangers (Paulstown) v Fenians, Clara v James Stephens, Dicksboro v Lisdowney, Galmoy v Cloneen, Bennettsbridge v Erin’s Own (Castlecomer), St Patrick’s (Ballyragget) v Blacks & Whites, O’Loughlin Gaels v St Martin’s (Muckalee).

Bye: St Lachtain’s (Freshford).

The draw has also been made for the opening round of the junior A championship. Played on a league basis, it has been divided into two groups. Lisdowney, Graigue-Ballycallan and Emeralds will play in Group One while Young Irelands (Gowran), Tullaraon and St Martin’s make up Group Two.

Sixteen teams will do battle for the spoils in the junior B championship. The first round draw is: Clara v St Lachtain’s, Graigue-Ballycallan v Conahy Shamrocks, Danesfort v Blacks & Whites, O’Loughlin Gaels v Barrow Rangers, Erin’s Own v Galmoy, James Stephens v Bennettsbridge, St Patrick’s v Cloneen, Dicksboro v Threecastles.

The draws have also been made for the under-21 Roinn A and B championships. In Roinn A Erin’s Own (Castlecomer) will defend their title against Dicksboro in the quarter-finals.

Under-21 A championship - preliminary round: Clara v St Patrick’s. Quarter-finals: Erin’s Own v Dicksboro, Lisdowney v St Lachtain’s, Barrow Rangers v James Stephens, Clara or St Patrick’s v O’Loughlin Gaels.

Under-21 Roinn B championship - preliminary round: St Martin’s v Dicksboro B, Conahy Shamrocks v Danesfort, Emeralds v Bennettsbridge.

Quarter-finals: Cloneen v Emeralds or Bennettsbridge, Conahy Shamrocks or Danesfort v Tullaroan, Graigue-Ballycallan v Young Irelands, Fenians v St Martin’s or Dicksboro B.
