Kilkenny have made three changes to their team for Saturday’s All-Ireland senior hurling final replay against Tipperary.
Cats boss Brian Cody has drafted Padraig Walsh, Kieran Joyce and John Power into his side for the Croke Park clash against the Premier County (throw-in 5pm).
Walsh and Joyce will line out on the half-back line, replacing Joey Holden and Brian Hogan respectively. Power will join his older brother Richie on the full-forward line, where he will play in place of Walter Walsh.
Henry Shefflin, who is in the hunt for a tenth All-Ireland medal, will start from the bench.
Padraig Walsh was a starter in all of Kilkenny’s championship games bar the drawn final, where he was a 60th minute replacement for Holden. Joyce was a sub in the Offaly game and started the drawn Leinster semi-final against Galway, but has not played in the championship since. John Power came off the bench in the Galway replay and was named in the starting team for the Leinster final against Dublin, where he scored one point. He was an injury-time sub for Richie Hogan in the drawn game.
