Cats through to Leinster semis

ALL-IRELAND champions Kilkenny, who will be chasing an eight consecutive victory in the province, won’t be in action in the Leinster senior hurling championship of 2012 until the semi-final stage.

The Cats went straight through to the semi-finals when the draws were made last week. They will face all-Ireland semi-finalists, Dublin or Laois or Carlow in the big tie, most likely in Croke Park.

Leinster GAA senior hurling championship - first round, Westmeath v Antrim; Laois v Carlow.

Quarter-finals - Laois/Carlow v Dublin; Offaly v Wexford; Galway v Westmeath/Antrim.

Semi-finals - Galway/Westmeath/Antrim v Offaly/Wexford; Laois/Carlow/Dublin v Kilkenny.
