Fenians (Johnstown) got their senior hurling league campaign off to a flying start when they scored a good 1-17 to 1-11 win over Graigue-Ballycallan in a thrill a minute game at Freshford last night.

The scores were level at 0-6 each at half time. However, the Fenians stepped on the gas afterwards and a 48th minute goal from Darragh Tobin put the tie beyond the reach of the opposition (1-15 to 0-11).
