Big numbers force Cats to field two teams

OVER the past couple of months Kilkenny under-age hurling teams have been going through rigorous training programmes in preparation for upcoming inter-county competition.

OVER the past couple of months Kilkenny under-age hurling teams have been going through rigorous training programmes in preparation for upcoming inter-county competition.

Because of the big numbers involved, Kilkenny have decided to enter two under-16 teams in tournaments in five weeks time. To this end two panels have been selected, under the stewardship of two separate coaching teams to prepare over the next five weeks or so.

The A panel, which will take part in the Arrabaun tournament in Tipperary, will train this evening (Wednesday) at 6.30pm in the Clara GAA grounds.
