KILKENNY manager Brian Cody has confirmed he will be in charge of the Kilkenny senior hurlers for the 15th consecutive year.

The James Stephens club man informed the County Board on Tuesday night of his decision, and will be joined once again by selector and trainer Michael Demspey and selector Martin Fogarty of the Erins Own Club.

The trio have been in charge of the Kilkenny senior hurlers for the past seven years - which saw Kilkenny claim six All-Ireland titles in a truly remarkable period for the county.

Brian Cody has been manager of Kilkenny since 1999, and overall the county has won nine All-Ireland titles during his reign.
