Champions Clara were pitted against Carrickshock while St Martin’s (Muckalee) face free scoring Ballyhale Shamrocks, who blasted Danesfort in their delayed quarter-final on Saturday.

The Shamrocks let rip from the off and were 2-4 to 0-1 in front after only eight minutes. Young Brian Cody grabbing the goals while new All-Star, Colin Fennelly created them both.

Danesfort got more of the same up to the break, at which stage they were 0-6 to 4-15 behind against the scoring machine that is Shamrocks, who have five senior All-Ireland medal winners in their attack. The final score was 5-23 to 2-13.

Carrickshock, last year’s losing finalists, beat the Rower in a replay that needed extra time before the ’Shock won by 1-13 to 0-15. The winning score was a point from a free by Jamie Power.
