Mealy's kick off their busy 2016 sales calendar with their annual Spring Thrift sale, this Saturday (February 13), at the Castlecomer Saleroom.
The sale is a collage of estate clearances, liquidation stock, and contents of various town and country houses on the instructions of executors, receivers, liquidators, solicitors, and private clients.
The sale has a wide selection of furniture in varying degrees of condition, including kitchen and dining tables and chairs, bookcases, settees, coffee tables, stools, occasional tables, clocks, armchairs, sideboards, games tables, lamps and light fittings, and much more.
Decorative arts also feature heavily with Newbridge and other silver and plateware, Waterford and other glass, bronze, brass, porcelain, and others. There is also a wide selection of paintings, watercolours, and prints, and plenty of box lots of books to choose from.
For those who have recently purchased a new home or started a new tenancy, this is an ideal opportunity to decorate your new surroundings in a unique way while staying well within your budget.
For those settled in their homes and just finished their Spring clean, this is a chance to experiment with interior design.
With over 500 lots in total, viewing is strongly recommended. The lots are described and illustrated online at Mealy's website (mealys.ie) and can be inspected during public viewing from 9am to 5pm on Friday 12 and also from 9am - 1pm on Saturday 13th February before the sale begins.
