McGuinness to head poll; Sinn Fein to win seat

John McGuinness will head the poll in the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency and the major surprise is the strong showing of Fianna Fail candidate in Carlow, Cllr Jennifer Murnane-O'Connor who will take the “Carlow” seat in the five seater.

Fianna Fail will definitely win two seats and are in the hunt for a third.

Labour's Ann Phelan is making a bit of a comeback and polled really well in her home town of Graignamanagh.
