Kilkenny woman becomes third female ASA President

Mary Delaney from Galmoy in Co. Kilkenny, has become the third female president of the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) following the annual general meeting of the association.

Delaney is currently Head of Equine at GAIN Horse Feeds, a Nuffield Scholar, lives on a dairy farm and has been an active member of the ASA for 16 years. The ASA will mark its 75th year in 2017.

Mary lives in Galmoy, Co. Kilkenny and is married to fellow Agricultural Science graduate and dairy farmer David. They have three children, Gerard (5) Daniel (3) and James (4 months).

She has worked with Glanbia for 11 years and is Head of Equine in Glanbia Agribusiness where she has responsibility for the renowned GAIN Horse Feeds portfolio. GAIN Horse Feeds is a market leader in Ireland and exports its range of premium horse feeds to the UK, mainland Europe, Middle East and Far East.
