Bank staff fundraise for Heart Foundation

Bank of Ireland fundraising

Pictured above is Deirdre Shine, County Manager of Bank of Ireland and President of Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce, with Mayor of Kilkenny Councillor Pat O'Neill completing the -in-branch cycle in Kilkenny as part of a fundraiser by the bank to raise money to provide a new mobile health unit for the Irish Heart Foundation - the campaign is called the Big Blue Box Volunteering Challenge. The cycle has toured Ireland's Ancient East and will conclude with a grand finale this Friday, September 16 starting at 1pm at Nowlan Park in Kilkenny. The fund raising has involved communities in 29 local towns - and Bank of Ireland has promised to match all funds raised.

Inside the Big Blue Box will be a symbolic item that each local community wants to share with their neighbouring town.
