Local defaulters named on Revenue's list

Local publicans, farmers and business owners are among those who have made settlements and paid fines to the Revenue Commissioners, according to documents published yesterday.

The following were announced in the recent published list of tax defaulters.

Underdeclaration of Capital Gains Tax:

Michael Butler, (Company Director/Farmer) Bonnettstown, Kilkenny - Total - €206,060.

Underdeclaration of Income Tax and VAT:

William Forristal, (Architect) Limekiln Lane, Jerpoint Hill, Thomastown - Total €283,010.38.

Underdeclaration of VAT, PAYE & PRSI:

Michael Brennan (Builder/Farmer) The Bungalow, Mayhora, Castlecomer, County Kilkenny Total - €159,297.

Underdeclaration of VAT:

John O'Shaughnessy, (Garden Shed Supplier/Farmer) 35 Upper Patrick Street, Kilkenny - Total €50,086.43

William O'Mahoney, (Oil Distributor) Viper, Kells Total - €46,741.

Failure to hold a current liquour licence:

Mark McGuire (Publican) Mickey's Bar, Callan, Co. Kilenny. Fined €632.50.

Indiana Quality Catering, (Restaurater) 11 Patrick Street, Kilkenny. Fined €650.

Misuse of Marked Mineral Oil:

Seamus Delahunty, (Farmer) Portnahully, Carrigreen, Killkenny - Fined €2,500.

Anthony Brennan (PAYE Employee), Ahenure, Callan, County Kilkenny. Fined €2,500.
