To mark the 10th annual National Women’s Enterprise Day on Wednesday October 19, a regional event will be held in Kilkenny River Court Hotel to encourage more women across the south and west region to access enterprise supports for starting or growing a business.
The Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny has partnered with Local Enterprise Offices in Carlow, Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick and Clare to organise an event celebrating the success stories of female entrepreneurs.
The event commences on Wednesday evening with an informal networking dinner and guest speaker Miriam O’Callaghan, television presenter and co-founder of Mint, a media company specialising in television production. On Thursday morning 19th October a panel discussion lead by Kilkenny born IrishTV.ie presenter and entrepreneur Siobhan Donohue will take place. The panel comprises of successful female entrepreneurs from across the 2 regions including Hannah Wrixon of Last Minute Minders, Niamh Hogan, Holos Skincare; Clare Hughes, CF Pharma – Human and animal Healthcare Products and Rachel Doyle, Arboretum Home and Garden Heaven.
The theme for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day on October 19th is the ‘Road to Success’. Ms Fiona Deegan, Acting Head of Enterprise with Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny said “We would like encourage more women across every region to start their entrepreneurship journey by developing their business idea or expanding their business”.
