TransferMate, located in IDA Business Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, a company that enables businesses worldwide to both send and receive international payments, has won the Grand Prix Award at the eir Elevation Awards 2016. The eir Elevation Awards recognise the ingenuity and economic growth potential of businesses across Ireland.

TransferMate, owned by Terry Clune, , which also picked up the Emerging Fast Company Category Award, was the unanimous winner with the judges praising the business for being a role model for other companies by taking an idea and building a business on an international scale. The company also demonstrated a great spirit of entrepreneurship from the founders right across the TransferMate team, which was just one of the criteria set out by the judging panel. The judges were also impressed with TransferMate’s ability to delegate, and well-grounded strategy together with their impressive profitability as they exceed all growth expectations. The judges recognised the personality behind the brand, making TransferMate a great representative of Brand Ireland.
