The Wine Centre & Lions Club are doing it again! Holding their annual Wine, Beer & Whiskey Fair to raise funds for needy families in Kilkenny this Christmas. And local model Eva Phelan and canine friends Zoe & Polly were on hand to mark the occasion. In fact, this year’s fair is the 18th.

Since its inception in 1999, the Wine, Beer & Whiskey Fair has gone from strength to strength culminating in the tasting of over 70 wines, beers and whiskeys with gourmet breads and sweet treats. In total, the Fairs have raised over €40,000 for much needy families in Kilkenny City & surrounding areas.

Marking this year’s launch Lions Club President Padraig Keegan said “This year we’re trying to raise in excess of €3,000 with the fair. We know there are more needy families in Kilkenny this year compared to last and every euro we raise goes a long way in making local families lives a whole lot better.”

The Wine, Beer & Whiskey Fair has a new home this year and takes place in The Taproom, 16 John Street, Kilkenny (behind The Wine Centre) on Friday 25th November from 6.30-9.30pm. Apart from great tasting tipples and nibbles, there will also be a raffle on the night with great prizes to be won. Tickets are €15 are available from The Wine Centre, 15 John Street, Kilkenny. All monies raised on the night will go directly to The Lions Club.
