The Thomastown No Name Club.

The 2015/16 Thomastown No Name Club group marked the end of a successful year at their graduation night in the Hibernian Hotel earlier in the month.

The leaders presented the group with their certificates and complimented them on their achievements and excellent behavior over the year. They had a very busy 12 months, taking part in talent competitions, national events, and a weekend in Kippure in the Wicklow mountains.

Some of them also enjoyed a trip away to Oakwood Theme Park in Wales with the Kilkenny No Name Club.

They also enjoyed some local outings such as activity centre and ice skating, as well as their weekly group get together on Friday evenings.

The group contributed hugely to the community during the year by helping at The School of Food events, putting on a Christmas movie in the Community Hall for the younger kids and creating a wildlife-themed mural in the centre of town, which was also supported by Kilkenny ETB.

The club is now two years in existence and is growing every year. There area already 35 members registered for this year and lots of trips, activities and projects planned.

The club caters for 15 – 18 year old boys and girls, and meet on Friday nights from 7pm to 9pm in the prefab of St Mary’s old national school. There are still some places available.
