Garda investigation into death of second horse

Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating the discovery of a dead horse, which was dumped at the entrance of an old dump on the outskirts of the city.

The grim discovery was made on Tuesday. Gardaí are investigating and a meeting is also taking place between local gardaí, Kilkenny County Council and officials from the Department of Agriculture in relation to a number of acts of animal cruelty in recent days.

Two dogs, with horrific injuries  have also been rescued and rehomed in recent days following serious concerns for their welfare. In one incident a lurcher had to have her leg amputated.
