The late Tom Byrne

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Byrne, Dean Cavanagh Place, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny.

Tom passed away on Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital. Pre-deceased by two of his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Breda (nee Kenny)  and much loved father of Margaret (Shortis), Noreen (Bergin), Thomas, Ann (Casey) and Monica (Byrne-Azeke). He will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, his eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home from 3p.m. on Tuesday with Funeral Prayers at 6p.m. followed by Removal to St. Mary's Cathedral. Funeral on Wednesday after 2.30p.m. Requiem Mass to Foulkstown Cemetery.

The late Breda Dooley (née Cantwell), Mountgale,

The death has occurred of Breda Dooley (née Cantwell), Mountgale, Rathmoyle, Kilkenny.

Died on 8th May 2017, at her home, Breda, beloved wife of the late Billy and mother of the late Michael and Anthony, sadly missed by her sons John, Billy and Brendan, brother Mick, grandchildren William, John, Chloe, Emma, Jack, Luke, Alice and Sammy, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home from 5 o'clock on Tuesday with Rosary at 8 o'clock. Funeral Prayers on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock followed by removal to St. Brigid's Church, Ballycallan, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock. Interment afterwards in Ballykeeffe Cemetery.

The late Pierce Hogan

The death has occurred of Pierce Hogan, Ballykeeffe, Kilmanagh, Kilkenny / Ballycallan, Kilkenny.
Peacefully on Monday 8th May 2017 surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff at Castlecomer District Hospital. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing family, wife Ellen, daughter Nora (Delaney), sons James and PJ, son-in-law Paddy, grandchildren Padraic and Niamh, brother Seamus, sister Maura, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home on Tuesday 9th May from 3pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 9pm. Funeral arrving to St. Brigid's Church, Ballycallan for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ballykeeffe. House Private Please on Wednesday morning.

The late Pat Phelan

The death has occurred of Pat Phelan, Garrenconnell, Woodsgift, Kilkenny.

Peacefully at University Hospital, Galway. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Margaret his adoring children Luke, Sarah and Rachel, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law, father-in-law, relatives, his good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 2 o'clock until 9 o'clock. Removal on Wednesday to St. Patrick's Church, Graine arriving for Requiem Mass at 1 pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. House private on Wednesday morning please.

The late Archbishop Thomas A. White

The death has occurred of Archbishop Thomas A. White, St. Kieran's College, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny and Durrow, Laois.

On the  7th May 2017, at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, former Apostolic Nuncio, Priest of the Diocese of Ossory, Titular Archbishop of Sabiona. He is survived by his sister Alice, his brother Liam, his brother-in-law Edward and his nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. He is predeceased by his brother Seán J. White and his sister May McKenna.

Reposing at St. Kieran’s College Chapel from 4 o’clock on Tuesday with Funeral Prayers at 7 o’clock followed by removal to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny. Concelebrated Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the Cathedral Grounds. Family flowers only please.

The late Mary Ellen (Nellie) Brennan (née Grace)

The death has occurred of Mary Ellen (Nellie) Brennan (née Grace), Newrath, Waterford City, Waterford and Carrigeen, Kilkenny.
Died peacefully died  on 7th May 2017 at home. Predeceased by her husband James and son Barry.

Nellie will be sadly missed by her loving children Liam, Seamus, Margot, Des and Fergal, son-in-law Joe, daughters-in-law Mary, Veronica, Mary and Ruth grandchildren, great grandchild, brother Bobby, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday 9th May from 3pm with prayers at 8pm, Removal on Wednesday 10th May to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
