THE timber-frame building company IJM has closed its factory in Castlecomer.
The remaining six staff at the factory were notified on Wednesday of last week, and the Castlecomer site closed for good on Friday.

Most of the other staff had been placed on temporary release in February, and many filed for redundancy in the time since.

The company opened the Castlecomer factory three years ago.

The local site shipped out a significant number of log cabins to Wales last year.

The company declined to comment on the factory closure.
