People from all over Ireland with past and present associations travelled to Dunmore Caves on Wednesday for a very special event organised as part of Heritage Week.

Nuala Timmins who explored the caves in the early 1950’s with her late husband Jim and brother Tom was present along with her son Peter and Pat Nolan, one of the original committee members was also there to share his wealth of knowledge.

The oral history and day of reminiscing was an opportunity for cave explorers of yesteryears to share their stories.

There is also a wonderful exhibition of photographs and prints on display until August 25.
