Colourful flags and placards displaying messages of love and inclusiveness were clearly visible outside Cilin Hill yesterday evening.

Approximately 50 people gathered for the peaceful protest to voice their opposition to the views of controversial preacher Angus Buchan.

The Zambian farmer has been criticised for his views, some of which are described ass 'homophobic and misognistic'.

“I have lots of friends who are gay - both men and women. I want to stand up for men, women and children.

“This man says that being gay is an illness which can be cured. You love who you love, it is as simple as that. His views on the chatisement of children,” said Luarena Hanley.
