Console’s Living in Hope training for Kilkenny

Lifeline Kilkenny with the support of the HSE Regional Suicide Resource Office (South) and ESB Electric AID will host Console’s ‘Living Hope’ suicide bereavement training commencing Friday May 11.

Lifeline Kilkenny with the support of the HSE Regional Suicide Resource Office (South) and ESB Electric AID will host Console’s ‘Living Hope’ suicide bereavement training commencing Friday May 11.

This comprehensive Programme covers all aspects of Suicide Bereavement:

• Practical matters to be attended to following the death of a loved one

• The grieving process

• Aspects of Spirituality

• The influence and impact of culture on grieving

• Understanding emotions

There is also a host of helpful information which will equip you to help individuals and families through the devastating experience of losing a loved one through suicide The Course will run from 6 to 9pm on Friday, May 11t and will continue from 9.30am until 4pm on Saturday, May 12. The final module will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 9.30am until 4pm, in the Community Room at the Heritage Council Offices in Kilkenny. This course will be of interest to individuals and groups who work in related areas; suicide bereavement counseling, or who may wish to implement protocols in the workplace or community around issues of suicide, bereavement and loss.
